My best friend came back from Japan, and wanted to spend time with me and see Cagbelete Island. Her wish is my command!
We left cainta at 6am, as usual, call time is 5am but we had few beers the night before so filipino time kame. Due to time constraint, the boyfriend had to make sure we reach quezon before 10 as the public boat leaves mauban port at 10am.
Used my cousin's map invitation hehe thanks ate aiza! |
After 120km (Antipolo - Mauban, Quezon) we arrived at my tito's house before 10am and parked my car, they had special guests going to the island so we shared the private boat with them.
11am, at last, I am back to our little paradise. This time, we took the set meal, kase we really want to relax and enjoy the beach.
High Tide: Big boat - Little boat - Island |
There were a lot of guests so we had to wait for them to check out before we could settle down, beer before lunch time!
Price of the set meal depends on how many are sharing, for the 5 of us we were charged P950/head and we had 5 meals total.

We did not get a chance to swim, since most of the time it was low tide, kuya was explaining something about the moon I just dint get it due to lambanog + beer + headache. High tide was only during noon. Which we did not mind as we just really wanted to drink and talk.
It was a slow afternoon for us, we really did not do anything we just talked and had more beer. My best friend and her husband had an hour of massage, but that dint stop us from catching up and drinking more booze. No sleeping. No siesta. After 3 hours, Merienda time!
Merienda: Pancit Habhab and Palitao |
Sunset, Aiko and I just walked down the beach and tried to play with the snails and hermit crabs. The sunset was just--- incredible -- like me (LOL emeeeee dora!)
By 7pm, you guessed it! Dinner time!
We slept early, my tita even said "Ang aga niyo naman nakatulog pano ang aga niyo nagiinom" hahaha. 9pm we were already sleeping and because of that, wala pang 6am gising na kame. #tumatandana
They brought us hot water and Coffee at 6am - Then breakfast by 7am.
We had breakfast, walked far from the shore just so we can "half-swim" but the water was too cold for me I dint even get my hair wet.
8am and indeed the water is very low. We walked far ah, but we did not go na sa malalim cause there are sea weeds. It's not like they bite or something, Let's just say I am scared of what might be hiding there. Yes, Including the fishes. Yes again, I am scared of the fishes. (and here I am planning to swim with a whale shark in Cebu)
The place looks amazing even without the water, picturesque indeed.
At 9am we were chugging down more beers. Hah! On our way back we had to take the public transport since the couple we shared the boat with are staying another night (hi paolo and paola twas nice meeting u two!) we had to leave at 12nn cause the boat leaves at 1pm and we had to walk from Pansacola Beach Resort to the port, no available boats to take us there daw kase.
Our 5th meal was Pancit Bihon and Turon. I did not have a chance to take a picture, Cause I was talking to tita and settled our bill. SORRY NA.
Twas a nice 10minute walk, and saw these kids, waving, saying HI. Too cute so I said let's take a selfie. They happily posed for the camera!
I did not get a chance to take a lot of pictures that are blog worthy as I did not plan to blog this until 3 days after our trip.
If you are on a tight budget but wanna visit this beautiful island, check out my previous Cagbalete Trip for more details.
